Hey guys.
Today we went to the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. We drove for 2 hours. Dad hit a duck and turned it into road kill:O, it was kind of nasty seeing the duck struggle to get up after it was hit by the car.
The Twelve Apostles are 12 great pillars sticking out of the ocean. These pillars are made by sea erosion, firstly there would be a sticky out bit, then the water would wash an arch underneath it, then the arch would collapse and would leave a pillar in the middle of the a beach.
After that we drove down to a bit down the road to see the Loch Ard Gorge, the blow whole, and the thunder cave. The thunder cave would make a booming sound when the water went in. The blow hole was a cave that went a few hundred meters from the sea and then a further hundred meters after the blow whole. The Loch Ard Gorge was were a ship that sank and many people died.
After that we drove back but were held up by a car crash and had to make an hour long detour through the forest:O
